About Us

The Banzai Beat podcast wasn't orginally called "The Banzai Beat" we started off as "The Anime Banzai Podcast" created as an added feature to the blog "Anime Banzai" in Febuary 2008

Jellokun orginally came up with the idea and was looking for someone to co host the show with him, Patz stepped up to the plate and the rest is history. The show is hosted locally on two different servers and also aviable on iTunes, Digg, Switchpod and FeedBurner.

Each show is recordered using Skype, each show covers the weekly news, latest episode reviews an R1 DVD Pick and sometimes a revovling feature called "Long lost anime" recentlly the show has started branching out into Manga as well. The show typically last 45 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes depending on the content of the show.
